Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. — Following his victory in Florida’s Senate Democratic primary, Patrick Murphy released the following statement:“I am honored to earn the Democratic nomination to be Florida’s next U.S. Senator,” said Rep. Murphy. “Over the past year, I have met and listened to so many hardworking families from across our state. They deserve a Senator who values hard work, and who will always put them first. Together, I know that we can strengthen our middle class, strengthen Social Security and Medicare, pass meaningful legislation to curb gun violence, and defend a woman’s right to choose.

“For the past six years, Marco Rubio has put himself first, failing to show up for his job except when it benefits his special interest campaign donors. Senator Rubio put his personal ambition ahead of Florida’s middle class, earning the worst vote attendance record for a Florida Senator in nearly 50 years. Floridians are ready for a Senator who puts them first, and we’re going to make that a reality this November.”

Rubio Shifts to
Damage Control
             By Lance Carden

Marco Rubio marched
            north from Florida
            north from Florida
            to blow his horn,
            to blow his horn
so strong, strong, strong.

But his White House quest
            didn’t last very long:
He sounded in debate
            like a metronome.
Marco sounded in debate
            like a metronome.

So Rubio decided
            to change his song,
& he marched back to Florida
            to blow his horn,
            that horn he blows
so strong, strong, strong.

Now Rubio pines
            for his old Senate seat,
            something he promised
he would not to seek –
a decision that many find
            wrong, wrong, wrong,
a decision that many find
            wrong, wrong, wrong.

With his horn out of order,
            his campaign treading water,
should we let Marco reclaim
what he chose not to seek –
let him simply reclaim
what he chose not to seek?

Dave Bruderly, Democrat for Congress in North East Florida - fightingconvention and in it to win it

My opponent has endorsed Donald Trump and has yet to rescind his endorsement, even after the disgusting things Trump has said about women.
Any candidate that still supports Trump has moved too far away from the party of Lincoln - and knows it.

I believe in civility, respect and service, and that character matters.

"I remember when Halloween was the scariest night of the year. Now, it's Election night," the old joke goes.
Scarier than Halloween is the prospect of electing a congressional representative from North Florida who has no understanding of the diversity of this nation and contributions made by immigrants and their children who help make this country great.
Democrat Dave Bruderly's opponent for the Florida Congressional District 4 seat revealed his prejudice at a Southside Businessman's Club meeting by saying the deranged man who killed dozens at an Orlando night Club should never have been allowed to immigrate into this country 30 years ago. He implied the father was responsible for his radicalized son. Such narrow-mindedness is a reflection of the narrow scope of experience of a man who spent 40 years as a government employee in the sheriff's office.
Dave Bruderly's perspectives are informed from his 40-year career traveling the world working as a scientist, environmental engineer, oceanographer and a small business owner.
