​Federal law requires us to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $100. Cash donations, however, cannot exceed $50 during an election cycle. The maximum amount one can contribute is $10,000. Contributions from federal government contractors, minors under 18 years of age and foreign nationals who lack permanent resident status are prohibited. Foreign nationals with permanent resident status can contribute. Contributions are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

How does your financial contribution benefit the St. Johns County Democratic Party?
Since early 2008 the St. Johns County Democratic Party has maintained a Headquarters in St. Augustine which has provided a continuous presence in downtown St. Augustine for local Democrats to volunteer, hold meetings, and provide logistical support for Democratic candidates.

This central location provides an opportunity for fellow Democrats to connect on a year-round basis. There are expenses associated with running the office, but the office is staffed entirely by volunteers. Your donation helps to support not only the Democratic presence at the local level, but to enable us to build the Party within the precincts, provide volunteer training, expand Voter Registration, encourage Vote by Mail, encourage and support Democratic Candidates, canvas neighborhoods, host guest speakers, hold candidate forums, and all the things that political parties do at the local level. Fundraisers are also held to supplement the necessary funds to continue the Democratic presence in St. Johns County.
